Proxy Providers

This list includes popular proxies providers ranging from excellent to average quality but that work great for most applications.
We didn't include popular proxy providers like ProxyRack or SmartProxy because those offer mostly rotating IPs proxies.
These proxies are great for mass data scraping but not necessarily social media automation. We also removed from the list providers like Storm Proxies which are mainly known for their Shoebot proxies.
For TexAu and social automation, you will likely need static residential IPs or 4G proxies (for Instagram).
The prices indicated on this list are for residential proxies, 4G proxies being more costly.
All the links shared below are in no way an affiliation with these services. We recommend it based on our own experience.

BrightData, formerly Luminati, is one of the best-known high-quality residential proxy providers.
It's one of the most robust and full-fledged services around used by the biggest brands in the world.
They have a vast IP pool in many countries (if not the biggest), and you'll quickly find one for your location there.
Their pricing may seem a little bit complicated, for starters, with the many options it offers. However, it also has a pay-as-you-go offer per Gigabyte of data transferred.
The dashboard is complete with lots of power user options too. Is it the best choice for TexAu? Not necessarily.
But one of the best for sure.
If you should go with BrightData, then their static private residential proxies are what you need. They are costly on a monthly subscription ($300), but their pay-as-you-go offer is still an exciting and qualitative option, starting at $29 per Gb. You need a minimum of 2Gb for moderate automation with TexAu for most solo needs.
BrightData seems to love TexAu so much that they even have a dedicated tutorial on using it with their service. Thanks for the backlink!
Aside from Brightdata, you may consider other premium alternatives for teams or businesses with multiple sales reps.
The most notable are: Oxylabs, NetNut. But again, they are not particularly suited for solo needs and more oriented enterprise needs.
Pros:
- Very High-Quality Residential Proxies
- Large IP Pool and Location Choice
- Pay As You Go Plans too
- Handy Price Calculator
Cons:
- Not Cheap
- Not adapted for solopreneurs' needs

My Private Proxy is a real surprise. The service promotes itself as running on “green” renewable energy, but the real attraction is the unbeatable price they offer for blazing-fast data center proxies.
The uptime is great and stable. Those entry-level proxies work very well with LinkedIn in our testing. If the prohibitive cost of proxies is an issue for you, this one might be the right choice for you without breaking the bank.
- Fast connection speed
- Works great with LinkedIn
- Great support: you can ask the specific country location they offer
- Only a few cities are covered per country
- Not really a con for $2.49 per month per proxy

ProxyMesh is one of the cheapest proxy providers around. It's an established company, but the biggest drawback is that those proxies are exclusively data center proxies and easily detectable. I don't personally recommend them for social media automation, but they may do the job for disposable social accounts if you are cheap.

Probably the best DIY option out there. The reading of this book alone is worth a Ph.D. in proxy management.
It offers auto-install scripts for making residential proxies from raspberry PIs, hard discounted high-quality proxies, and lots of valuable knowledge in an easy-to-read fashion.
We recommend it for solopreneurs (Advanced and Professional editions) or Automation Agencies (Agency version).
It may seem costly for a pdf book, but you can quickly recoup your investment if you factor in the monthly cost of a good quality proxy.
💡Note that since March 2021, Proxy Know doesn't offer 4G auto-install scripts anymore.
