Networks

This subset is gathering all network automation such as:
- Connections
- Friends
- Group members
- Event attendees
- Followers
- Following
- Interests (likers)
First, let's search for events in your niche. In this example, upcoming events about "startups".
To find those events, type your keyword topic in LinkedIn search and filter by Events.
Search Example:
This search will display all the upcoming events in this niche:

Select an event in the list.
When you find one that interests you, join and attend the event:

Now you will be able to see the attendees. Copy and paste the event link in TexAu, and you will get the last 1000 attendees.
If you want to scrape all attendees: the best is to attend the event as soon it appears. Then schedule TexAu to run every day. That way, you will extract daily all the new attendees joining.

Input example:

Try it here: Marketing Automation | TexAu
Or, you can also scrape event attendees by using this automation:
Extract Profiles From Linkedin Search.
After attending the event, click on the attendees' list:

You will land on a regular LinkedIn search filter. From there, copy the search filter URL and paste it in TexAu:

To extract LinkedIn Group members, first, you must join a group on LinkedIn. You can join a maximum of 100 groups.
After that, go to your profile on the left "Groups" sidebar and click any group you belong to:

Once on the group's main page, copy its URL, then paste it in TexAu. You will be able to scrape a maximum of 5000 last members per group. It will always start at the top scraping the most recent 5000 members of the group at a given date.
No, you cannot scrape the total number of members, LinkedIn shows only the last 5K. But you can schedule that automation to run every day to add the new members.

If you run the same input (group URL) every day, TexAu will allow you to collect only the new members after the last 10,000 members.
Each run can collect up to 5,000 members. So to collect the last 10,000 members of a group, you will need to run the automation twice manually.
Ex:
- On the first run, you collect the last 5,000 members of a group.
- In the second manual run, it will collect 5,000 additional members up to 10,000 maximum
- Then each new manual run, TexAu will only collect the new members, without any duplicates.

You can re-run a spice manually from the logs. Just click on “open spice with these results”.

Another good way to target profiles from interests is to scrape people who attended and liked a course on LinkedIn. That way, you know that if they like a course about a particular topic, they are more likely to be interested in this niche.
First, in your profile, go to the "Work" menu then "Learning":

From there, pick any course you want:

On the course presentation page, you will see the number of members who liked this course. Click on it, and this will reveal all the likes and profiles the course has received.

Copy the course link and paste it in TexAu. You can extract up to 6000 profiles.

Note that if you have more than 5000 connections in your network, you will need to use another method. For this, you can use LinkedIn profile search or Sales Navigator leads search results. To achieve this, you will need to filter your 1st-degree connections and break them down by role and location. Then you will be able to extract them all at once. We will cover this in another tutorial.

You can extract any profile followers in the limit of 10.000 profiles.

Like Twitter Followers spice, we will extract the following of a profile:

DO NOT use the group ID URL. Otherwise, the automation won't work. Ex: https://www.facebook.com/groups/965673390154514 (incorrect) The URL should be alphabetical, like this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SaaSgrowthhacking Both redirect to the same group, but only the one above will work. There are exceptions to this rule: some rare groups only have the group ID URL format. If that's the case, then you can use the latter. But always grab Group URL by clicking on a post date as explained above.
You can scrape friends from any Facebook profile. But providing they allow to show it their account preferences.
It can be a public profile or your friends' profiles.
Some friends' profiles only share the friends they have in common with you. Some show all their friends. So the extraction results will also depend on that.
The maximum number of friends you can extract is 3500 friends per profile.

Enter your target profile URL in TexAu to extract its friends:
