How to Install the TexAu Desktop App on Mac ARM64 and Mac Intel Processors
Follow these steps to install the TexAu desktop application on your Mac, whether you have an ARM64 (Apple Silicon) or Intel processor.
Step 1: Download the TexAu Desktop App
Find the right app
For Mac ARM64 (Apple Silicon):
Download TexAu Desktop App for ARM64 or Apple Silicon Macs.
For Mac Intel Processors:
Download TexAu Desktop App for Intel Macs.
Download the App
Save the installer file (.dmg format) to your Downloads folder.
Step 2: Install the TexAu App
Open the Installer
Go to your Downloads folder.
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to open it.
Install the App
A window will appear showing the TexAu app icon and an Applications folder shortcut.
Drag and drop the TexAu app icon into the Applications folder.
Step 3: Open the TexAu App
Launch the App
Open the Applications folder from Finder.
Locate the TexAu app.
Double-click the app to open it.
Security Prompt
You might see a message: "TexAu" can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
Step 4: Allow the App to Run
Open System Preferences
Click on the Apple menu () in the top-left corner of your screen.
Select System Preferences from the drop-down menu.
Navigate to Security Settings
In the System Preferences window, click on Security & Privacy.
Allow TexAu to Open
Ensure you're on the General tab.
At the bottom, you’ll see a message: "TexAu" was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer.
Click the Open Anyway button next to this message.
Step 5: Confirm and Launch

A new prompt will appear asking: "Are you sure you want to open 'TexAu'?"
Click Open to confirm.
TexAu App Launches
The app will now open and is ready for use.
Additional Tips
Future Access
After this initial setup, you can open TexAu directly from the Applications folder without additional prompts.
Keep the App Updated
Regularly check for updates within the app to ensure optimal performance and security.
Troubleshooting
'Open Anyway' Button Not Visible
Make sure you attempt to open the app before checking Security & Privacy settings.
The option appears only after an app has been blocked.
Still Can't Open the App
Restart your Mac and repeat the steps above.
Ensure your macOS is up to date by going to System Preferences > Software Update.
